About the Proposed Data-Center Project
What agreement do we have with Sabey?
In April of 2025 Butte-Silver Bow entered into a Purchase and Sale agreement (PSA) with Sabey Data Centers (Horizon's Montana, LLC) for 606.5 acres of land in Montana Connections Targeted Economic Development District.
This agreement was amended in February of 2026 to allow for extension of their due diligence period to August 11, 2026.
What is being proposed?
Sabey is proposing a data-center facility/campus that will use an initial 50mw of power from NorthWestern Energy. They are expecting to scale up to 200mw of energy over time.
Sabey is still in the due-diligence period of their proposed project. This means that they are still evaluating the site's geotechnical features and needs as well as negotiating other crucial details of the project including power.
